KUDOS:

Gail Hodge, IIa's Senior Information Scientist, has been asked to participate as a member of a review committee for the refereed papers for the Dublin Core Metadata Initiative conference to be held Sept. 29-Oct. 2 in Seattle, Washington. Gail has been with IIa since March 1996.

Never in our travels have we witnessed a staff that excelled in the manner shown by these most courteous, helpful and competent library personnel... please let it be known that Marta Demopoulos, Shelly Mudgett, Ron Baker, and Tami Edmond are to me the most precious staffing of a library one would wish for."

Do You Need Long Term Health Care? Are You Sure?

Long-term health care is quickly becoming a crisis in the U.S. Shocking statistics show that 40% of the people who need long-term health care are working age adults between the ages of 18-64 due to accidents or debilitating or chronic diseases. As an added benefit for IIa employees, our management is looking into making this type of insurance available at the employees cost. You'll be getting more information soon from our human resources staff about costs and benefits, so be thinking about whether this is of interest to you and your family.
