Team IIa Brings Anderson Co. United
Way into 21st Century
In
September 2004, IIa learned of a need with the United Way of Anderson
County that we were uniquely poised to meet through our
Team
IIa-Oak Ridge partnership.
UWAC had serious technical infrastructure problems...working with a psuedo-server
and a piecemeal system. On top
of that, their specialized campaign software is huge and they had begun
to experience frequent power surges.
Team IIa partners NCI Information Systems and ARTI joined
with IIa to donate not only the necessary equipment, but also the manpower
to put a new infrastructure into place. IIa's computer specialists Lance
Vowell and Nathan Wilder set up a central file server, upgraded the operating
system, increased staff capabilities from four to five workstations,
added backup and recovery capabilities, and enhanced protections against
spyware and adware. The two also provided some basic staff training on
the use of the new system and software.

Employees Raise $700 for American
Heart Association
Thanks to the participation of our employees throughout
the United States and in the United Kingdom, IIa raised $700 for the
American Heart Association by wearing red on February 4th. The corporate
fund-raiser was done in conjunction with AHA's annual "Wear Red" day
to raise awareness that heart disease is the number one killer of women
in America. Following are photos from various IIa sites around the U.S.
