Community Relations
IIa places high value on the company's role as a good corporate citizen, and is deeply committed to supporting and interacting with the communities in which our employees live and work. IIa also encourages employees to assume active roles in their communities, resulting in significant impacts of resources donated by the company and its employees.
Corporate Giving
Each year, IIa dedicates a percentage of corporate earnings for investments in the community that reflect the values outlined in our corporate philosophy. Because of IIa's growing role in advancing the importance of information and knowledge, the company has long supported efforts that enhance the access to and use of information. As a result, IIa's designated focus for corporate giving are efforts to advance literacy, education and lifelong learning. Accordingly, IIa provides funding for annual scholarships available to high school and college level students.
However, IIa donations are not strictly limited to this scope. We also support community activities where our donations make a discernible impact as well as initiatives in which our employees have taken a vested interest.
Employee Projects
IIa annually coordinates a company-wide project which allows employees to band together to support a cause despite the limitations of a geographically dispersed workforce. In the past, we have supported national charities such as the American Heart Association, the Dictionary Project, and more. Some of our local employee projects support the United Way, Boys and Girls Club of America, and local schools.
