IIa Employees Raise $555 by Wearing Red
Oak Ridge, TN. Across the United States and in the United Kingdom, 108 Information International Associates employees were wearing red Friday as part of the American Heart Association’s Wear Red Day. The event is designed to focus attention on cardiovascular disease as the number one killer of women. IIa, a woman-owned business with a large population of women employees, has taken on this day as an annual event and encourages its employees to participate. Employees contributed $5 for the opportunity to wear red shirts and jeans on the day of the event. The result was $555 donated directly by employees for the American Heart Association.
IIa, headquartered in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, provides information management, systems, and technology services to the government, industry, non-profit and academic organizations, and international entities. IIa is a woman-owned, small business headed by Bonnie C. Carroll, who was most recently recognized for her work in information management with the Department of Interior’s Conservation Service Award and being named to Federal Computer Week’s 2004 Federal 100.
