IIa Donates $2,000 for Knoxville College Scholarships

Oak Ridge, TN. Information International Associates (IIa) is pleased to announce a donation of an annual scholarship fund for $2,000 to Knoxville College for continuing education scholarships. The fund was initiated with $2,000 for the first two years. In support of IIa’s focus on lifelong learning, the scholarship will be designated for a senior-level student who intends to pursue graduate work in library, information, or computer science, or in information technology.

In making the award, IIa President Bonnie Carroll said, “We are excited about the work being done at Knoxville College to provide educational achievement for its students. We are delighted to be working with President Hatton to make opportunities available to help achieve the college objectives. Specifically, with this scholarship money, IIa hopes to encourage and support Knoxville College students to continue their education and enter graduate programs in the diverse and dynamic information field in which we work.”

In accepting the scholarship donation, Dr. Hatton thanked IIa for being a partner to help Knoxville College achieve its mission to provide “a challenging and stimulating educational experience for students who have demonstrated academic ability...”
