Air Force Recognizes IIa Excellence

Oak Ridge, TN. Information International Associates (IIa) proudly announces that the U.S. Air Force has recognized IIa for both team and individual excellence at its Eglin and Langley bases. At Eglin Air Force Base (AFB), both the IIa-operated library and education center were recognized for providing the highest caliber service. At Langley AFB, long-time IIa employee Lorraine DiCecco, Coordinator of the Learning Resources Center, was singled out as Contractor of the Quarter for the First Services Squadron.

IIa's Eglin AFB Library Center TeamIIa’s Eglin library team was chosen from among all Air Force libraries to receive the Five-Star Rating for 2004, making them the first library in the Air Force Materiel Command to achieve that designation. The rating was based on the team’s excellence in operations, programs, training, facilities, and customer service. To underscore that award, the group was awarded the Commander’s Cup, Teamwork Award of Excellence in January 2005.

IIa’s Education and Training Division staff who manage the Eglin AFB Education Center was named Best in Command for 2004, receiving the Nathan Altschuler Award for Excellence in Educational Programs. This award marks the third straight year the IIa's Eglin AFB Education Center TeamEducation Center has garnered the distinction for large bases in the Air Force Materiel Command. The recognition included acknowledgement of IIa’s team as the “DoD leader in providing ‘cutting edge’ educational services programs.” The award cited their “superior professional dedication” and noted that the IIa team is “always proactive for customer needs.” The IIa team has won the award every year that it has managed the Center.
