IIa Martin to Head IIa Technical Group at DOE OSTI
Oak Ridge, TN. Information International Associates has named Mark Martin as the new program manager for IIa’s work at the Department of Energy’s Office of Scientific and Technical Information. At OSTI, Martin will oversee the company’s information science and technology support, including development and maintenance of e-government systems and products; maintaining the telecommunications infrastructure to ensure accessibility to information products; and ensuring accessibility to electronic information for DOE, other federal agencies, and the private sector.
Martin’s promotion from applications group lead at OSTI provides continuity for IIa’s operations there. As a software engineer, he has extensive experience in the IT field, particularly in information technology architecture and software development. Martin was a 2006 recipient of the IIa Impact Award, which recognized his innovative work and strong sense of team spirit. Martin replaces Steve Freiherr, who is assuming a new role within the company supporting IIa’s business development effort.
Martin is an Oneida native who has been working for IIa at OSTI since 2004. Martin and his wife Amy live in Oneida with their three children. He received his bachelor’s degree in computer science from Tennessee Technology University in 1997 and was valedictorian at Oneida High School in 1993.
