Freiherr to Manage IIa Work at DOE OSTI
Oak Ridge, TN. Information International Associates has named Stephen P. Freiherr as the new program manager for IIa’s work at the Department of Energy’s Office of Scientific and Technical Information. At OSTI, he will oversee the company’s information science and technology support including development and maintenance of e-government systems and products, maintaining the telecommunications infrastructure to ensure accessibility to information products, and ensuring accessibility to electronic information for DOE, other federal agencies, and the private sector.Freiherr’s promotion from deputy program manager provides continuity for IIa’s operations at OSTI. He also supports IIa’s business development efforts.
Freiherr has more than more than 15 years experience managing projects for government contractors to the Departments of Energy, Defense, and State. His project management experience with both Advanced Resource Technologies, Inc. (ARTI) and Automation Research Systems, Inc. in Virginia was in the information technology arena. Prior to entering the private sector, Freiherr served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He holds a masters degree in systems management from the University of Southern California and a bachelor’s degree in industrial management from Purdue University. He and his wife, Gail, live in Lenoir City.
