SBA Cites IIa's Performance Excellence
Oak Ridge, TN. Information International Associates today received the U.S. Small Business Administrator’s Award of Excellence for “outstanding contribution and service to the national by a small business.” In a surprise visit, Mitchell Morand, SBA’s Area III Director, presented the award to IIa president Bonnie C. Carroll in Oak Ridge today on behalf of the SBA Administrator. IIa was named the small business prime contractor of the year at Eglin Air Force Base where the company manages the base library, the education center, and the military personnel records.
According to Morand, “IIa came up all 10’s in the evaluation categories, including quality management, customer service, and on-time delivery.” He also recognized the level of professionalism IIa promotes throughout its organization, saying, “it flows from the top to the people that make it happen on site.”
Both the education center and the library at Eglin continue to be award-winning operations. For the second consecutive year, IIa’s base library operation has achieved the highest possible rating from the military, being named a five-star library. The IIa-managed Eglin education center has been cited Best in Command for three consecutive years.
